My dream about the Watchmaker

I struggled to sleep last night.

When I finally did, I dreamed I was standing in a grassy plane. It was like our world, except the grass was a dark blue colour. There was a solitary tree, with blue bark, on the horizon. Instead of leaves, it had hundreds of glowing blue orbs hanging from its branches. I walked towards it and as I reached it, seemingly out of nowhere, a strange figure appeared between me and the tree. He was wearing a dark brown waistcoat over an untucked white shirt, buttoned up to the top button. He was wearing a black tie with the T.E.C. symbol, under an image of an eye, on it. His face was shrouded in shadow, despite nothing casting a shadow over it, but I could still see his bright blue eyes.

Dangling from his waistcoat pocket was the golden pocket watch I had seen in one of my previous dreams.

I asked him who he was, and he said, "You can call me the Watchmaker."

I asked him where I was, and he said "You are on a separate plane to your world. We are still in your universe, but I created this plane to speak with you. I understand that you and Ash are planning on going to the facility together. Don't. Only one of you can go. When you wake up, you must decide who will go to the facility. You cannot go together, or one of you will die." I was about to ask him what he was talking about, but I was suddenly dragged backwards by an unseen force before waking up in my bed. I told Ash about the dream, and that if the Watchmaker was to be trusted, one of us would have to go to the facility alone. We argued about who should go, and both of us believed the other should stay behind. Neither of us want to put the other in danger.

Since we both want to go and we can't decide who should stay behind, we decided to let you guys vote.

Before any of you ask, the only reason I'm trusting the Watchmaker is because the dream felt so real. He felt trustworthy, or at the very least like he knew what he was talking about. Considering I'd seen him in a dream before, it feels like I should listen to him.

Who should go to the facility alone?
