I don't know where I am

One second I was arguing with X about the cameras, and the next I was here in a forest. The forest. The one with the bright light spilling through the trees. The one from the photo on the hard drive.
I could see a figure standing in the distance: a man in a brown waistcoat, holding a golden pocket watch. He smiled at me, and waved me over. Hesitantly, I walked over to him, and realised he was standing on the edge of a cliff, overlooking the source of the light.
It was a giant white orb, glowing with the power of a thousand suns. It hurt to look at, so I looked back at the man.
"What is this?" I asked.
"It's time to go," he replied.
"What do you mean? What's happening here?"
"Please, Ash, I already know everything. I'm trying to guide you out of here. You don't belong. You need to jump."
I knew what he meant, and I started to wonder if he was telling the truth. So I jumped. Into the light.
Into the light.
